Philosophy

Little Handprints (formerly Jr. Explorers) is a licensed child care serving the Elk Grove, CA area. We take pride in providing a safe and nurturing place for children to play and grow, through activities that help children develop physical, social, emotional and intellectual skills.

The owner Shalese Martin is CPR & first-aid certified with 30 units of Early Childhood Education and over 15 years of experience in childhood development. Through her passion she plans to provide a secure, caring and enriched filled environment for your child.

Our History

"Jr. Explorers" was established in 2015. Owner Shalese Martin was pursuing her degree in Early Childhood when she realized her family needed her in the home. So, Shalese changed her plans of being a director in a Center based child care to owning her own small family home child care.

The rest is history in the making!
